Some pretty valid stuff, I definitely spending a lot of time watching confused faces before realising that I have a lingo crisis at hand! Though airline food is a massive turn-off for me

You've been wearing sandals for so long your feet don't fit into real shoes.
You've been gone so long you even miss your enemies back home.

South East Asia: 10 years.

Funny! We are going on our third year of an open ended world tour as a family, so we can relate to some of these! We travel with a kidlet, so have to eat healthier food than ramen as a steady diet although our food budget is extremely low.

We have had no problem with just one pair of socks ( smart wool) and hubby with just 2 pair of boxers. Exofficio type clothes help sooo much with their odor resistant qualities! lol!

We don't use hostels that much as they tend to be expensive for families, but also have no problem leaving our RV for a month or more with just a tiny daypack each ( even when facing 3 season temps including cold winter & hot) and that includes at least one laptop and homeschool supplies!

We are thriving on the mobile life and might just be turning into permanent travelers!

It's so amusing! For me, as a Chinese, I become very excited over seeing a plate of rice when I was backpacking in Europe. I remembered my friend deliberately made friends with some Koreans (apparently they cooked rice in the hostel) and got himself a plate of rice -__-'' zzz

Great post! I've totally felt the same way before. Especially when I start mixing up words and making brand new ways to say thank you in an english speaking country :p

That or when you meet another person from the same home town and you freak them out by how excited you are about the local Safeway grocery store or something.

Easy decision on the sunscreen. YOU always want to carry it. You NEVER know when some emergency evacuation happens leaving you without sunscreen and a 2nd degree sunburn. Never again. Sunscreen goes in MY bag.

1. my body becomes toned, weathered, and bronzed.
2. my mind becomes insightful, clear, with calm ecxitement.
3. my pack is light, and full of new things than when I left
