The Night According to Sean
Much like Alex and Jessica have taught us, there are two perspectives to the same situation. Here’s my take on the night. And sorry if our posts have not had much to tell of where we are at, but you don’t want to hear of us sitting on a bus for 8 hours would you? We wouldn’t do that to you.
Alex and Jessica. We were never introduced but I feel like we just know them so well. Our initial introduction came around
I dozed in and out for the next few hours waking to occasional mumbling outside our room. Around
Dawn heard the sandal comment and asked me to go outside and rescue our drying sandals. Rolling out of bed and pulling on my superhero cape I dashed outside to retrieve our sandals and returned to bed.
Around
From this point, the rest of the night was not much more than fitful dozing as Jessica and Alex expressed their love for each other by screaming, slamming doors, and stomping around. Jessica was trying to explain to Alex that he doesn’t even know how drunk he is he doesn’t even remember what he said to her when she told him to move over. If he would just listen to her for 5 minutes! These 3 very important points were reiterated by Jessica until the sun came up. I have to disagree with Jessica though, Alex (along with the rest of Montezuma) was listening to her for more than five minutes. And whatever he called her I’m 100% sure he was absolutely right.
I kept trying to patient and figured I’d get my revenge when we woke up early and they were trying to sleep off the hangovers. But, with the sun shining in our room at
I went into the bathroom and Dawn went outside to pull our remaining laundry off the line. Dawn told me she saw Alex and said “Hello Alex” and that he mumbled a return greeting.
We mill around the room getting our stuff together since it’s obvious we won’t be staying another night with our new neighbors. Hungry from the looong night, we pull some food out of the mini-fridge and sit out in front of our room. I glance over the balcony to see portly Jessica and her size 12 feet propped up in one of the hammocks below. With a smug look on her face she says “So, what do you remember?” It seems Alex is on trial and has some serious sucking up to do. Dawn was nice enough to answer the question though. “Oh! I remember everything!” she shouts off the balcony. Jessica looks up at me and ignores us.
Alex steps out from under the balcony and I get my first look at him. I guess imagined an average guy since Dawn didn’t say anything about him. If average is 240 lbs. of solid muscle (that’s 240 without the hair he shaved off his head) then he fit the mold. He was an intimidating character to put it lightly and I see why he was “hogging up the bed.” I don’t think it was on purpose. I may win a fight should one happen but one thing is certain—it’s gonna hurt. I decide not to hurl comments off the balcony and secretly hope Dawn will do the same.
We finish breakfast and Alex finishes kissing the ass of his princess. They both come upstairs and Jessica and Dawn go into a stare-down like two cage fighters as the couple walks past us back to their room. Alex just looks at his feet like the defeated bull that he is. The poor guy was all muscle and no stamina!
Dawn and I finish packing, oh so quietly of course after the courtesy shown by our new friends. I realize this didn’t have much impact when I lean over to pull the water out of the fridge and hear snoring coming through the wall. I looked at Dawn: “Let’s get out of here before they make up.”
